     Ingredients:

2 red delicious apples chopped (with or without skin)
a small chunk of fresh ginger
     1 chai tea bag
about 2 teaspoon (or to taste) of sugar free syrup (or maple)
     about 2 teaspoon lemon juice
     2 cups of water
     1 teaspoon vanilla (optional)

     Directions:

     Bring water to a boil.

Add ginger, lemon juice, and vanilla and let boil for about 5 minutes.

Add chai tea bag, take out after about 2 or 3 minutes.

Add chopped apples. The smaller your apples are chopped the faster they will cook.

Let this boil for about 10 minutes then reduce heat and simmer for 45 min to 1 hr.
Apples are done when they are very soft and look like they are ready to fall apart.

Drain apples, but save the left over liquid.

Blend apples and syrup in a food processor and add left over liquid as needed.

When finished put in container and chill... or eat warm!
